... or, rather, looking forward to 2012!
Your memories wanted for Woodhouse Grove book...
Woodhouse Grove School was founded in 1812 - and 2012 will be the 200th Anniversary.
There will be a whole host of celebratory events going on through out the year but in addition to these, the Governors have commissioned Nigel Watson to complete the history of the school up to 2012.
Nigel has requested Old Grovians to send in any (printable) reminiscences and stories of school life for possible inclusion in his book. We would like to encourage Old Grovians of all generations to do this for us.

In 1912 "A Short History of Woodhouse Grove" was published to mark the first centenary.
This was followed 50 years later in 1962 with "Woodhouse Grove School - A hundred and fifty years of memories and recollections".
Another 50 years on in 2012 we aim to produce something even bigger and better to celebrate 200 years of Woodhouse Grove School.
Old Grovians 'old' and 'new', please send your 'memorials and reminiscences' to Jackie Balaam at the school address or by
We look forward to reading all those old memories!
School photos - who's who?
Old Grovian, Richard Thornton, has taken on the mammoth task of attempting to name all the pupils on the various school photos dating back to the early 1900’s, in particularl the photos of the whole school (panoras) up to the late 1930’s (there were none taken during the war years).
If you are able to help name any fellow pupils, perhaps your contemporaries or a family member, please Jackie Balaam and she'll get in touch with Richard's details.
